FAQ

Can you send the deliverables by e-mail?

No. As you can see in section 4 of the Competition Rules, the project consists of 4 deliverables. The 2nd deliverable (Collection of Material Samples) is not a deliverable that can be sent by e-mail, as it consists of one or more panels which the material samples are fixed to. Therefore, the Collection of Material Samples plus the CD Rom with the other 3 deliverables must be sent by courier as indicated in section 5 of the Competition Rules.

Do you have to submit a panel for each of the 4 subjects (emotion, polysensory, mobility and responsibility)?

No. The 4 subjects can be submitted on one panel or on separate panels.

Do deliverables have to be submitted for each of the 3 levels (leisure, family, travel) established?

No. You only have to choose 1 level. If you submit deliverables for each of the 3 levels established, they will be considered as 3 different projects.

Are the designs to be decorated the 5 designs that can be downloaded from the website?

Yes. But you can make slight changes to the designs provided.

Is registration required to take part in the Competition?
No.

Is participation in the Competition free of charge?
Yes.

Can projects be presented as a team?
Yes, there is no limitation on the number of participants making up the team.

Can more than one project be presented?
Yes, each person or team may present a maximum of three projects.

Can students take part in the competition?
Yes, the competition is open to both students and professionals.

Will the projects taking part in the Competition be published?
Yes. The best proposals will be published on the website, mentioning their authors.

What is the deadline for presenting projects?
29-04-2011.

When will the prizes be awarded?
In late June (the exact date is yet to be confirmed). Once the date has been set it will be published on the Competition website.

Will any projects arriving after the presentation deadline be accepted?
No.

Has the composition of the Jury been decided on?
Not yet, but the Jury is made up of designers from the main vehicle manufacturing firms.

Are the prizes subject to taxation?
Yes. In accordance with Spanish legislation the prize-winners will be subject to financial taxation, but only if they are Spanish.

Will I receive an e-mail notifying receipt of the projects sent?
Yes, you will be sent a confirmation email.

 

Do participants have to pay the cost of sending in the projects?

No, national (NACEX) and international (DHL) courier costs will be paid on delivery.
